We are delighted to announce a new three-year partnership between The Earth Museum and King’s Group Academies (KGA), marking a significant step forward in embedding sustainability education across KGA’s network of 15 schools and their international partnerships.
This exciting collaboration will support the development of a shared international sustainability programme, equipping young people with the knowledge, skills and global perspective needed to tackle some of the planet’s most pressing global citizenship challenges.
During the 2025–26 academic year, schools across the KGA network have been taking part in a pilot programme introducing the Air We Breathe, EarthMuseum Learn’s cross-curricular learning framework, into both classroom and enrichment activities.
The pilot has demonstrated how sustainability learning can be meaningfully integrated across different subjects, encouraging students to think critically, investigate real-world issues and develop solutions for a more sustainable future.
Looking ahead to 2026–27, each school’s international lead will embed EarthMuseum Learn’s activities within their international action plans, ensuring sustainability becomes a core part of curriculum delivery.
Schools are already developing innovative approaches. At College Park, for example:
Year 3 pupils will explore air pollution through History Detectives activities linked to wider curriculum areas.
Year 4 students will become Scientists and Data Analysts, investigating environmental data and evidence.
Year 5 learners will take on the roles of Innovators and Campaigners, developing ideas and advocating for positive change.
By connecting this sustainability theme with different subject areas, students will experience learning that is both relevant and empowering.
Alongside the rollout of existing programmes, The Earth Museum and King’s Group Academies are working together to pilot exciting new globally collaborative learning experiences.
These developments will take the EarthMuseum Learn concept into fresh thematic areas, creating opportunities for students across different countries to learn, collaborate and take action together on issues that matter.
