We’re delighted to share a new film showcasing the Air We Breathe, a free cross-curriculum learning programme available through EarthLearn.
Filmed during an Air We Breathe Day at Northern Parade Primary School, part of King’s Group Academies, in June 2026, the film is introduced by Clean Air Champion, Professor Sir Stephen Holgate. It provides a real-world example of how schools can use the programme to engage pupils with questions about air, environment, health, sustainability, and the interconnected world around them.
The day brought together creative learning, scientific enquiry, discussion, and reflection, demonstrating how young people can investigate the invisible forces that shape their lives while developing a deeper understanding of their relationship with the natural world.
More importantly, the film captures the energy, curiosity, and agency of pupils as they explore issues that affect all of us. It shows how environmental learning can move beyond the classroom to inspire critical thinking, creativity, and action.

The Air We Breathe has been designed to be accessible to schools everywhere. Through EarthLearn, educators can freely access resources and activities that support interdisciplinary learning and encourage students to examine both local and global environmental challenges.
We hope this film inspires teachers, school leaders, and education networks around the world to discover how the Air We Breathe can be adapted to their own contexts and communities.
Watch the film and explore the programme today.
Together, we can help young people better understand the world they inherit and empower them to shape a healthier, more sustainable future.
