The Air We Breathe learning programme is completely free for schools worldwide—no matter where you’re based.
We’ve also created an exciting collaborative extension that delivers a richer, cross‑curricular learning experience. Schools receive hands‑on educational support from EarthMuseum Learn’s expert team to build a bespoke Air We Breathe menu of learning activities, supported by our unique collaboration tools and the outstanding IQAir outdoor air quality monitors, linked via their AirVisual app.

Step 1: Introduce pupils to the subjects of air pollution and clean air with our free History Detective, Scientist + Data Analysts and Innovators + Campaigners learning activities (optional CPD support provided).
Step 2: Install your school’s very own outdoor IQAir air quality monitor (ordered via us) and start analysing your monitor’s readings using IQAir’s AirVisual.
Step 3: Work with other schools to compare and discuss your data, supported by our collaboration platform.
Step 4: Work individually and collaboratively across a growing global schools network to innovate and campaign for a cleaner air future.

This flexible programme can run across year groups, classes, entire schools, and global geographies. It can be a one off project, or grow into a dynamic long-term, longitudinal collaboration, running over multiple years; supporting Sustainable Development Goals and international learning in meaningful, real‑world ways.
The project’s strength lies in its high quality learning resources and the ability to link
classrooms across borders. It provides a framework for our students to work
directly with their international peers, investigating shared environmental questions
through hands-on projects and real-time data. This isn’t just learning about a
problem; it’s experiencing it from multiple perspectives, together.
(Louisa Perkins, International Director for King’s Group Academies)
Through our work with King’s Group Academies, schools are already partnering with international peers and bringing Air We Breathe learning into the classroom in creative, impactful ways—connecting students to global challenges through local data and shared discovery.
